Flair Badge Settings

Overview

You can use Flair product badges to automate product promotions throughout your Shopify store.

There are two Flair badge types available:

Text Badges

Promote products with text-based badges.

Content

Text

This is where you enter the text for your badge. You can also use dynamic text and emojis here.

Style

Background Color

Set the background color by using the color picker:

Choose one of the included colors, or you enter your own custom color.

Text Color

Set the text color by using the color picker:

Choose one of the included colors, or you enter your own custom color.

Left Shape

Select the left shape to use:

Right Shape

Select the right shape to use:

Text Size

Set the size of your badge text.

Text Style

Set the style for your badge text:

  • normal - no styling
  • bold - bolded
  • italic - italicized
  • bold / italic - bolded and italicized

Padding

Set the amount of space to include around the badge text.

Letter Spacing

Set the amount of space to include between each letter.

Border

Set the border size:

  • none - no border
  • small - a 1px border
  • medium - a 2px border
  • large - a 4px border

This property is only available for square and round left/right shapes.

Border Color

Set the border color by using the color picker:

Choose one of the included colors, or you enter your own custom color.

This property is only available for square and round left/right shapes.

Shadow

Set the shadow for your badge:

  • none - no shadow
  • small - a small shadow
  • medium - a medium shadow
  • large - a large shadow

This property is only available for square and round left/right shapes.

Image Badges

You can upload your own custom images as badges to promote products throughout your store.

Image

Upload any PNG, JPG, GIF, Webp, or SVG image up to 2MB in size.

The image will be stored in your Shopify Files section and served using Shopify's CDN. This means your image badges will load super fast will always be available as long as Shopify is available.

We recommend keeping these images as small as possible so they load as fast as possible.

Alt Text

The Alt Text (alternative text) can optionally be specified to describe what is on the image. This text can be helpful for visually impaired customers and search engines.

Size

The Size setting lets you specify the exact width and height of the image.

The format must be specified as WxH. For example, to specify a width of 50 and a height of 25 you would enter: 50x25. If the image does not fit, it will be center cropped to fit.

If this property is left blank, the image will use the original size.

Status

Badges can be shown or hidden at anytime.

To change the badge status, click on the calendar button:

The badge status will be shown in the bottom left corner of each badge card in the Flair > Badges section. Here is a summary of the possible badge statuses:

Published
Published - the promotion is live.
Unpublished
Unpublished - the promotion is not live.
Scheduled published
Published / Scheduled - the promotion is live and is scheduled to be unpublished in the future.
Scheduled unpublished
Unpublished / Scheduled - the promotion is not live and is scheduled to be published in the future.

Tags

Click + Add to add tags to your badge.

Tags can be used to organize your badges, and to display different badges per layout.

Conditions

Use conditions to show and hide badges automatically in your shop.

ALL / ANY

Use this option to specify how multiple conditions should be handled:

  • ALL conditions - The badge will only show if all conditions match
  • ANY conditions - The badge will show if any one condition matches

Company Name

Show badges based on the customer's Shopify B2B company.

Include / exclude
  • is - the company name is included in the list
  • is not - the company name is excluded from the list
Company name list

Enter one or more company names (case-insensitive). If multiple names are entered, only one name must match.

Collection

Show badges based on Shopify collections.

Include / exclude
  • is - the collection is included in the list
  • is not - the collection is excluded from the list
Collection list

Enter one or more collections. If multiple collections are entered, only one collection must match.

Collection type
  • the current collection - match based on the current collection
  • product collections - match based on the product collections

Create Date

Show badges based on if a product was created within the past number of days.

Days
  • Enter the number of days - any number greater than 0

Customer History

Show badges based on the customer's buying history:

Order count

Show badges based on the number of orders a customer has made.

Operator
  • <= - less than or equal to
  • >= - greater than or equal to
Order total
  • Enter the number of orders - any number greater than or equal to 0

Total spent

Show badges based on the total amount a customer has spent.

Operator
  • <= - less than or equal to
  • >= - greater than or equal to
Amount
  • Enter the amount in whole dollars without cents (e.g. - 100)

Customer Tag

Show badges based on customer tags.

Include / exclude
  • is - the tag is included in the list
  • is not - the tag is excluded from the list
Customer tag list

Enter one or more customer tags (case-insensitive). If multiple customer tags are entered, only one must match.

Customer Type

Show badges based on the type of customer.

Customer Type
  • not logged in - the customer is not logged in
  • a consumer - the customer is a consumer (does not belong to a B2B company)
  • a business - the customer is a business (belongs to a B2B company)

Inventory

There are 3 types of inventory conditions:

The inventory condition is based on all variants. You can enable variant badges to only use the selected variant.

In stock

Show badges when a product is available to purchase.

Availability
  • any product - show for any product that is available to purchase
  • products that can sell out - show only for products that do NOT continue selling when out of stock
  • products that allow overselling - show only for products that continue selling when out of stock

Out of stock

Show badges when a product is not available to purchase.

Availability
  • any product - show for any product that is available to purchase
  • products that can sell out - show only for products that do NOT continue selling when out of stock
  • products that allow overselling - show only for products that continue selling when out of stock

Between

Show badges when a product has available inventory quantities between two amounts.

Minimum

Enter the minimum inventory quantity. This number is inclusive and must be greater than 0 and less than or equal to the maximum inventory.

Maximum

Enter the maximum inventory quantity. This number is inclusive and must be greater than the minimum inventory.

Availability
  • any product - show for any product that is available to purchase
  • products that can sell out - show only for products that do NOT continue selling when out of stock
  • products that allow overselling - show only for products that continue selling when out of stock

Metafield

Show badges based on shop, product and variant Shopify metafields.

Resource
  • shop - a shop metafield
  • product - a product metafield
  • variant - a variant metafield; Only available for the main product on product pages.
Namespace and key
  • namespace - enter the metafield namespace (e.g. - 'custom')
  • key - enter the metafield key (e.g. - 'promo')
Operator
  • exists - the metafield exists
  • is - the metafield value is included in the list (case-sensitive)
  • is not - the metafield value is excluded from the list (case-sensitive)
Value list

Enter one or more metafield values to match. If multiple values are entered, only one must match.

Page Type

Show badges based on specific page types (e.g. - 'collection', 'product').

Include / exclude
  • is - the page type is included in the list
  • is not - the page type is excluded from the list
Page type list

Enter one or more page types. If multiple page types are entered, only one must match.

Price

Show badges based on the product price.

The price condition is based on all variants. You can enable variant badges to only use the selected variant.

Operator
  • <= - less than or equal to
  • >= - greater than or equal to
Amount
  • Enter the amount in whole dollars without cents (e.g. - 100)

Product

Show badges based on specific products.

Include / exclude
  • is - the product is included in the list
  • is not - the product is excluded from the list

Show badges based on product options.

The product option condition is based on all variants. You can enable variant badges to only use the selected variant.

Name
  • any - the option name will match on any name
  • is - the option name is included in the list
  • is not - the option name is excluded from the list
Name list

Enter one or more names (case-insensitive). If multiple names are entered, only one must match.

Value
  • any - the option value will match on any value
  • is - the option value is included in the list
  • is not - the option value is excluded from the list
Value list

Enter one or more values (case-insensitive). If multiple values are entered, only one must match.

Product Tag

Show badges based on product tags.

Include / exclude
  • is - the product tag is included in the list
  • is not - the product tag is excluded from the list
Product tag list

Enter one or more product tags (case-insensitive). If multiple product tags are entered, only one must match.

Sale Price

Show badges based on the product sale price. The sale price is based on the difference between the product price and compare at price.

The sale price condition is based on all variants. You can enable variant badges to only use the selected variant.

Operator
  • <= - less than or equal to
  • >= - greater than or equal to
Percent

Select the sale percentage to use from the the list, such as 20%.

Savings type
  • any savings amount - match on products with any savings amount
  • a single savings amount - match on products with the same savings amount across all variants
  • multiple savings amounts - match on products with multiple savings amounts across all variants
