New Flair conditions: Cart Amount and Cart Quantity targeting
We've just launched new Flair conditions to help you target promotions based on what customers have in their shopping cart!
Cart condition details
We've added two new cart conditions:
- Cart Amount - Target customers based on the total dollar value in their cart
- Cart Quantity - Display promotions based on the number of items in their cart
You can use these conditions for both Flair badges and banners, and both conditions support:
- Flexible operators - Choose from "is less than", "equals", or "is greater than"
- Entire cart or specific products - Apply the condition to the entire cart or only to specific products
- Multi-currency support - Cart amounts automatically convert to the customer's local currency (matching how Shopify Discounts work)
These new conditions make it easy to create cart-based incentives like free shipping thresholds, bulk purchase promotions, or upsell campaigns.
Pro tip: Cart conditions are evaluated in real-time as customers shop, so promotions update instantly when items are added or removed from the cart.
Use cases
Here are some ways to use these new conditions:
- Free shipping threshold - Show a "Free Shipping on orders over $50" badge when customers are close to qualifying
- Bulk discounts - Display "Buy 3 or more and save 20%" promotions on product pages
- Cart value incentives - Encourage larger orders with "Add $25 more to unlock your discount" messages
- Product-specific promotions - Show "Buy 2 get 1 free" only for specific products in the cart
Requirements
The Cart Amount and Cart Quantity conditions are available on current Grow plans. And you must be running on the latest Flair version, Flair Gen 3.
